The Job Experiance
Can you live without treasures and praise God
Job 1 verse 8
-
God said to satan “Has thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in all of the earth, a perfect man and an upright man. One that feared God and avoids evil.
And verse 11
-
The devil Sais “but reach out and take away everything he has and he will surely curse you to your face!”
Opinion: The Lord can take away our greatest treasures to test our character he can even bring trouble to your house to see whether you would give more attention to your problem than you would to God, but one thing is certain if you acknowledge his name he will be with you in time of trouble.
In Verses 13-22
In one day Job’s oxen, servant, his seven sons and three daughters died, His camel carried away. In all this Job stood up and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell to the ground in worship. And Job Sais “Naked came I out of my mother’s womb and naked I will depart. The lord gave and the Lord have taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord” in all this Job did not sin nor charged God foolishly.
Opinion: Can you worship when all hell breaks loose? Can you worship when more weight is added to your situation, when you’re crying, hurting, when you’re stuck and confused? Can you worship God when you’re stuck in a cycle and you’re angry there is no peace, you’re fed up and you’ve hit the breaking point?
Let me remind you the Lord will not give you something you were not built or structured to carry, he knows as the architecture what you can bare. Think back at a point in your life how did I make it through this labyrinth, but by the grace and the mercy of the lord sustaining me.
After this Job opened his mouth and cursed the day of his birth in chapter 3 verses 1-11 “why did not I perish at birth, and die as I came from the womb?”
Opinion: that’s a really strong statement to declare out in the open and I am praying the lord will teach us to put a stop to the negative words leaving our mouth. We all reach a stage in our life when we make the mistake cursing and bringing to life words that should never be uttered in frustration. It is even more disappointing to you when family or friends instead of comforting you do the opposite.
Job 42: 11-17
All that had been Jobs acquaintances before had come and ate bread with him in his house and they bemoaned him and comforted him over all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him. Every man also gave him a piece of Money and everyone an earring of Gold. So the lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his Beginning. He had more than tripled the amount of animals, he’d once again seven sons and three daughters. In all the land were no woman found as fair as the daughters of Job. After this lived Job one hundred and forty years and saw his sons…and his sons’ sons even four generation. So Job died old and full of days.
Opinion: It is the grace and a gift from God even in a test, he sends helpers, family members and friends to bless you and get you on your feet again.
